“Maybe if I look solemn someone will hire me”

I’m a full-stack web developer who loves JavaScript and newer and better ways of working. My passions are pareto- and multiplicative improvements, code as an art and other abstract and mathematical stuff.

I keep my CV up to date, and I have a portfolio where I’ve put a selection of the public things I’ve worked on in my last 5 years as a developer.

Stuff no-one pays me for (yet…!?)

I’m passionate about music: a fairly competent pianist, music theorist and in training to become a composer-lyricist primarily hoping to create musical theatre. I see a loads of theatre and sometimes review it, and sometimes those reviews end up here.

Beliefs ‘n’ stuff

I’m a strong and as yet non-practicing advocate of a movement known as Effective Altruism, broadly defined as a charitable movement seeking to reconcile the heart and the head. Currently I don’t donate much, I aim to live according to the principles of doing the most good possible. For the same reasons I also have a strong belief in the moral importance of Open Borders.
